Hello Guys,

I’m implementing Software Encryption using Commvault built-in Key Management Server. May I know, how we can check the performance on the job running with encryption enabled?

Thanks.

@Asyraf , you can check performance logs to see how the job is running and compare it to when encryption was not running.

We have a great blog article here that covers performance troubleshooting, though the method for you to check is the same:

Let me know if that covers your needs!

We do monitor the performance of the Backup even using Software encryption by default. We monitor and display throughput in the normal Job Details. We also log more detailed performance statistics of the jobs.  Is there a specific aspect you are looking to gather?

Hi @Mike Struening  , thanks for sharing a great article.

Hi @TDello  , thanks for your response. I did the same thing too. Monitor on daily backup duration and throughput. I’m just enquiry to know if there is any other tools or method to monitor this encryption/decryption process.
