A few days ago, I created a new schedule policy for our Linux file server (which has about 377 TB of data), moving it from 3x daily incremental backups to 1x daily. Since then, the incremental backup job for this particular server has been in the “Scan” stage for 19 hours. The job does not appear to be hung, as the Job Update Time is updating regularly. Is switching the schedule associated with a subclient enough to prompt a rescan of everything? Is this normal behavior? Prior to this, the incremental backups would take between 3 and 7 hours.
