Hello Commvault community,

Our Security Department has requested information regarding the possibility of implementing a Multi-Person Authorization process before any download or restore operation of an Exchange Online mailbox.

Is there an option available for this kind of approval workflow, or any recommended approach?
(Reference: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.38/expert/authorization_operations_associated_with_get_and_process_authorization.html)

I would appreciate any feedback or experiences you can share.

Thank you in advance,
Nikos

Yes there is the restore authorization approval - its in the list on the page you pointed out. Its a workflow you download and implement from the store. I do not have experience with it myself but that should cover your restore need. I am unsure about download, however.

Hello @Damian Andre Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I agree—there is a 'RestoreRequestAuthorization' workflow available. However, in our case, it might be tricky because it could keep requesting authentication, probably even for the end-user Self-Restore Portal!

So, I'm not sure if this workflow applies to the Self-Service Restore Portal as well. It might need to be tested.

Thanks again,
Nikos
