Hello,

I am using NDMP to backup netapp svm.

I have opend port 10000 from access node to svm

now I can browse and list the content.

When I launch the backup I have this error message.

Does this port the only required ? Is there any dynamic ports to open ?

Thanks !

Error Code: [39:424]
Description: Client [nas_client_cifs] was unable to connect to the tape server [awpw99a00a] on port [49774]. Please check network connectivity.

Hi @Bloopa

10000 is used only for communication. Backup would need one additional port apart from 10000.

Thanks,

I will ask network team to open additional port for the backup, should I specify this port on commvault settings ?  My NetApp colleague say that he can limit the port range use for backup

@Bloopa
You can add specific ports on network side and add the same under Network → Incoming Ports on MA.
