the Index backup runs as per the schedule, but can find the index server option under Client computer groups. and not able to see the pseudo clients under Clients as well.

Are you loading the CommCell Console on the CommServe itself? and as an Administrative user?
The Index Server should show under the Index Server computer group in the CommCell Browser.
To view the Index Server under Client Computers, right-click Client Computers, click Customize View > Show Index Servers.
