Hello,

We are experiencing an issue with keyword-based email searches in Microsoft 365.

End users assigned the Office 365 Self-Service role can perform keyword-based searches and see the matching emails in the search results. However, they are unable to preview the email content.

When we perform the same search using an administrator account, the email preview works correctly.

I have tried assigning different roles and permissions to the affected users, but the issue persists.

We suspect this may be related to missing permissions or role-based access control (RBAC).

Could you please confirm which permissions are required for end users to preview emails found through keyword-based searches without granting full administrator privileges?

Hi Batuhan-Kilinc,

If configured correctly, the end-user should be able to preview messages and attachments without issue. That is, the Office 365 Self Service role is assign to the user group, of which the end-user is apart of, and that both SAML along with self-service is configured within the plan itself.

Can you confirm that all steps throughout the role assignment process for the user/user group has been completed?
