Hi all,

We’re currently looking at migrating Oracle backups to Commvault, and the scale is quite big — we’re talking hundreds of databases.

One of the challenges is credential management. Right now we’re using connection strings that are specific per Oracle instance, which isn’t very practical at this scale.

So I’m wondering: is there any way in Commvault to handle Oracle credentials centrally? Some kind of credential vault, maybe?

Or could this be solved with a workflow or another native Commvault feature?

Any tips or best practices would be really helpful.

Hi @Grzegorz_Z ,

Good day!

Unfortunately, we do not currently have centralized credential management for Oracle. At this time, centralized management is limited to Windows accounts, Linux accounts, SQL Server accounts, storage array accounts, and cloud accounts.
