Hello,

We have an issue with one of our Oracle linux servers -

I can see the following error in the “sr_post_backup.log”

  • “ Debug: Error for [/dev/sda] will not be ignored”
  • Error: [/dev/sda] has not been enumeratde in [/tmp/sysconf/diskd]. cannot validate
  • Error: mountpoint is either on device which is no properly configured or mixed supported a and unsupported device

the last error was checked by our IT guy and was found not correct

Can you please help?

Best regards

Hi @LiorRN

Looks like the job completes with errors due to an error while performing System state backup.

Ensure the device /dev/sda exists

Verify mount -l and compare the /etc/fstab for any duplicate or incorrect entries for this device.

What type of devices are confirmed on this server ?

Is there any mutlipathing device configured ?

Whats the file system on this device ?

Additionally verify the system requirements page if the version in use is listed in the link below
