When backing up from Oracle RAC, Commvault selects an available server by default.

+3From my experience Commvault will go through the list of available clients you defined in the instance from top to bottom.
In my case I added the client I want to backup from first and the other one(s) after inside the instance properties.
When the instance is not available it will switch to another client.
Also make sure to adjust the number of streams in your subclients to 1 or Commvault will try to use additional streams on other clients which serve the instance.
Maybe that is sufficient for your use case as well.
