Hi experts,

I got two questions from a customer about Oracle table restore.

Could you help me on this?

1. Assuming customer performs Oracle Dash Full(synthetic/merge) based on NetApp intellisnap, can CVLT do table level restore from merged full backup image?

(Is this a feature provided from complete full backup image?)

2. Customer runs disk library which is configured with object storage, can we do table level restore using object storage repository?

Please kindly let me know if any further limitation for table recovery.

Thanks.

Hi @Hongmo Kim

Here’s answers to the questions:
1.  You need to set the 'Table Browse' option:

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/20248_configuring_oracle_subclients_for_table_level_restores.html

2. I’m not sure the storage or type of disk library will play a big part

Hopefully that provides enough detail for your customer.

Thanks,

Stuart
