Parameters for custom reports when using rest as a data source.

The documentation covers using inputs pretty thoroughly when using SQL as a datasource.

It is not so clear for using inputs, as parameters when rest is the data source.

For example the documentation here makes no mention of rest parameters but instead has a blurb about the parameters traditionally used for SQL

https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/creating_http_data_sets.html

For example,

Lets pretend I am building an events report using the data picker and the events REST API as a dataset

Someone explain to me ...

When using this as the report input?

Thanks in advance.

It should work the same way as SQL parameters.  Create your parameters in the DataSet Parameters tab and bind them to corresponding inputs, then in the URL parameter value box, set the value to @parameterName

Interesting that’s what I was missing. I was attempting to reference them directly using  “@“

so just to be clear I have to reference the dataset parameters to the inputs, and then reference the rest parameters to the dataset parameters?

Thanks that worked.
