Hello Team,

Firstly, all of your documents are still pointing to PostgreSQL version 9.6, not sure whether you have noticed this. If not, kindly update it as it becomes too difficult for us.

Secondly, need some clarification on tablespace handling on PostgreSQL v11 and v13.

  1. Will the FS level backup work when tblspc is created inside $PGDATA
  2. If not, when can we expect this fix?

Regards,

Kamal

Hi @Kamal Kumar

Configuration with table spaces inside data directory is supported with 11.26.36. Please make sure your Postgres client is at that level.

We looked at the documentation. The references are 9.6. But they are fine as a reference because we support versions from 9.2 - 14.x. If you think any of the BOL links are misguiding you, please do let us know. We can try to make them clear.

Thanks,

Sunil-

Hi Kamal,

May I know which Commvault version you’re at now?

Thanks,

Thanks Kamal.

Configuration with table spaces inside data directory should work with 11.26.36. But let me check again internally and confirm you.

Can you also point me to a couple of reference pages from documentation where you see references to Postgres 9.6?

Thanks,

Sunil-
