Is there a way to provide specific permissions/roles in Commvault which will automatically be revoke/expire  after a certain period of time?

Roles and permissions in the system are feature-based and require manual assignment. Currently, there is no option to automatically de-associate roles or permissions after a specific number of days.

If you are using azure you can consider using PIM. If you are using AD then you can look into this workflow which can update the AD group
