We are running 11.25.19. We have Windows media agents with the Ransomware protection enabled. We are also configuring our Linux Media agents for ransomware protection. Currently our libraries are CIFS shares on Storeonces. We are planning to move to HPe catalyst Stores. With our current ransomware protection in place, does Commvault provide ransomware protection on Windows media agents using Catalyst mount paths and /or will the Linux Media continue to provide ransomware protection for Catalyst mount paths. Or will we lose all ransomware protection once we move to catalyst?

@Rixon01 , editing my reply out.  I’m seeing Catalyst Store Once as not supported, so I want to get clarity on what is available for you here:

HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Stores are not mounted to the media server filesystem instead use Catalyst API calls. Therefore they are not visible to the OS directly. I imagine that is why it is not supported by the CV Ransomware protection. By using Catalyst Stores there is Ransomware protection inherently built it as you cannot encrypt what you cannot see. See the HPE StoreOnce Catalyst whitepaper
