Required network ports for Exchange DAG IP address

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Hi all,

I have a short question.

We are planning to back up our four Exchange DAG-Cluster. The CommServe and MediaAgents are in different VLANs (subnet) as the Exchangeserver/DAG-IP are.

For sure, I have to create a firewall rule for the communication between  CS/MA and the Exchangeserver (where the iDA is installed). But the question is, do I also need to create a firewall rule for communication (8400/8403) between the CS/MA and the IP address of the DAG-IP logical object?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi @skoomer ,

As far as i can see from documentation, only firewall rules between the CS/MA and those ExchangeServers that have the iDA installed and configured are required;
