Hi :)

Is it possible to restore a DB from within sql management studio when using commvault for backup ?

I can see restore point from within the management studio but when I try to restore it cannot as it looks on the E drive and thats not where the backup`s are located. They are located on an isiloted storrage media, do you know if it is even possible, would be nice if some admin users where able to restore without contacting the backup backend team :)

@Marty You can not just restore from the backup media. Commvault stores backups in a unique proprietary format.

You can restore SQL backups to disk location then restore in SQL management studio.

Otherwise there is a SQL plugin. This can be enabled on any SQL server and you can perform backups/restore from within SSMS. All that is needed in Commvault login.
