RPO and RTO reports from Command Center

PFB details on difference between RPO & RTO and report calculation.

• RPO (Recovery Point Objective): Reflects the backup frequency and the most recent successful backup. It shows how much data could be lost if a failure occurs, based on the last backup job. This is updated as backup jobs complete, not in real time.
   
• RTO (Recovery Time Objective): Is a target or planning metric. Actual recovery time is measured during restore operations and reported after the operation completes. It is not a real-time, continuously updating value.

RPO and RTO values in Commvault are updated according to backup and restore job completions, not in real time. They provide the latest status based on completed operations, not live or instantaneous monitoring.
 

RPO and RTO Report:

• Displays Recovery Point Objective (RPO), Actual Recovery Point, Recovery Time Objective (RTO), and estimated Actual Recovery Time for each client.
• Data is computed on an hourly basis, not in real time.
