SAP for oracle backup - CV doesn't recognize the active node

Hello,

I am assuming you are referring to an OS level non-veritas cluster with active-passive configuration.

Check the following -

1. Commvault software is install on all the nodes of the cluster under the same path
2. Job Results directory resides on a shared volume which can be accessible by all the nodes after a failover 

Try a force resyn of the cluster by navigating to the cluster pseudo client from commvault console right click → Properties → Advanced options →  Under Cluster group configuration →

Make sure all the nodes and the agents are selected 

Check the box the resyn cluster and click on ok

This process will show the active node.

To automate this for a future failover include the cvclusternotify script in cluster startup / shutdown procedures.
