I just want to ask a question regarding a SAP Hana log (point in time) restore.

It’s an in place restore, from point in time selected.

Does the entire DB need to be restored (as I’m seeing) prior to the logs being applied?

Thanks so much.

Mauro

Hey Mauro,

You’re correct - the entire DB is restored as part of a point in time restore, then HANA will request via backint the logs which are needed to recover to the point in time chosen.

Thanks so much Edd.
We managed to get through the user testing successfully with the required point in time logs.
