search / sort mailbox items in classic exchange backup using block level

Question

Hi,

Is there a simple way to browse/recover mailbox items from a specific incremental backup (exchange DB classic)?

I do not think so, could not find anything, but my customer is facing the issue that he needs to browse multiple pages (>100) searching for a specific item.

There are advanced plan to migrate, but this does not solve the challenge the facing right now.

Hi @DannyExchange database backup does not index the items like a mailbox backup, so it's limited in that regard.In that case it might be just as easy to restore the mailbox to a PST file then open the PST files and search within outlook for your specific item.
