Is there any way I can use YARA rules to search the backups for threats? eg: I want to know if we have malware on our fileserver backups so if i restore I don't re-infect

Good morning. I do not believe that this is possible but I will reach out to one of our Product Management engineers to confirm.  I will update this case once I have a response.

I have confirmed that we currently do not have YARA rule support.  It is in the roadmap for a future release but currently I do not have an ETA.

Hi, it’s been a couple years and would like an update on the ETA now that the cloud threat scan is out.

If YARA is not in the mix yet, it’s hash only?
