I'm currently installing Simpana 9 version on my Solaris client and using it.
I reinstalled it a while ago due to a problem, and I haven't been able to back it up since then.
Back-up content browsing is good, and scanning is good.
But it's only not backing up. It's an unknown error.

HI @james.lee ,

Simpana 9 is not supported anymore:

https://documentation.commvault.com/

Can you install FR32 or above:

https://documentation.commvault.com/2023e/expert/solaris_file_system_system_requirements_02.html

Best Regards,

Sebastien

@Sebastien Merluzzi

Thank you for your answer.
But that os is too old
Commvault said that only the simpana9 version was available, so I was using it like that.
The customer says they can't upgrade the version or replace the server.

The scan is fine, but only the backup is not working. Is there a solution?

@james.lee

That Solaris OS is EOL too then and therefore need to upgrade it.

You can check the logs:

JobManager on the Commserver.

clBackup & cvd & cvfwd logs on Solaris Client.

Also, check system logs for warning/error and if a process is crashing Solaris Client.
