When I plug the 2nd ethernet card to take backup with commvault to sql  always on which is running actively (isolated backup network) always on cluster fails
What should I do to prevent this .I disable the backup network from the Failover cluster manager but I got no result

I am not certain I understand completely, so I gather when you plug in 2nd ethernet card on one of the nodes the backup fails? This is getting another IP I assume?

You can try and setup DIPS
https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/essential/creating_network_pair.html
CC
https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/setting_up_data_interface_pair_between_two_clients.html

If still having issue best to open a support case to get a full idea of why its failing here..

Hi @Scott Reynolds

the problem has nothing to do with commvault
alway on cluster fails because sql is trying to flow data from  on backup network  ( or listener service try to use backup network )

how can i set the always on cluster failover to use only the 1st ethernet card  on the failover side and not the backup network

I think db admin friends can explain more clearly
