Hey all -

I was under the impression that if we install a SQL agent on a VM, it does NOT use capacity.  This capacity licensing is ear marked for a main frame backup.  Thoughts?  Do we need to open a ticket?

Thanks!

SQL by itself would count towards capacity licensing just like any other iDA.

If used in conjunction with AppAware (not standalone) then it would count towards VM licensing instead.

Is SQL iDA being utilized as part of an ‘AppAware’ backup when VSA runs or as a standalone backup alongside the Virtual Server backups?
