Hello friends,

I need your kind help, I must make backups of some SQL Server databases and the strategy is to make them daily, weekly and monthly, but this does not allow me to create BackupSets for this purpose; and the databases that I register in a subclient removes them from the other subclients, is there any way I can continue with my daily, weekly and monthly strategy?
It is to clarify that each daily, weekly and monthly backups are going to different tapes and also have a different retention.

Thanks for any help you can give me. 😁

Hi @FeRox

I think you don’t need to configure multiple backup schedules for this. But create secondary storage policy copies and configure selective copies to pick daily/weekly/monthly backups to those copies. Each of these secondary copies can be configured with different retention and different target tape libraries.

Thanks,

Sunil-
