Hi, could someone please explain how the Legal Hold setting in a storage policy works?  So here is my situation, so basically I have a single server within this storage policy that needs to be set to infinite retention on all subsequent backups going forward.  Not sure if Legal Hold is the right way to do this, so any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.

Hi @joe.f

Thanks for reaching out.

Legal Hold is the process used by an organization to identify and segregate relevant data found during a data discovery operation and preserve them for a long term for legal purposes.

I believe what you’re looking for would be found in the subclient retention properties.

Which would target a subset of data within the server.
