Hello everyone,

I would like to know when Commvault Commserve will be officially supported and available for installation on Rocky Linux 9.6. Currently the documentation only list only 8.9-9.5 as supported versions.

Are there any plans for certification or compatibility testing? If support is not yet available, I would also be interested in understanding the reasons why Rocky Linux 9.6 has not been approved yet.

Please note that installing Commserve on the outdated Rocky Linux 8 (outdated 4.x kernel) or 9.5 (not supported since 9.6 has been released) is not a viable option for us.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Best regards,
Daniel

We are currently in the process of certifying Rocky Linux 9.6 for CommServe installations. The certification results are expected by mid next week. Once the validation is complete and no issues are identified, the official documentation will be updated accordingly.

In general, we do not anticipate compatibility problems with minor version changes, but we will confirm and reflect the supported versions in the documentation once the certification is finalized.
