Support for Proxmox 9.x in Commvault version 11.36

The customer is using Proxmox version 9.2.5 and CommCell version 11.36.120. They would like to deploy a Proxmox VE access node. However, the system requirements for version 11.36 specify only Proxmot VE version 8.x.


I noticed that Proxmox VE support for version 9.x is not available until version 11.40.

At this time, the customer doesn’t want to upgrade the environment to version 11.40. Is it safe to install the VSA package for Proxmox access node? Will it work with the current version of the CommCell environment?

  • Proxmox VE 9.x is not listed in the official compatibility matrix for Commvault 11.36.
  • Deployment of an Access Node on Proxmox VE 9.2.5 with CommCell version 11.36.120 is currently not supported based on the published system requirements.
  • To ensure full supportability and avoid potential compatibility issues, the customer can use Proxmox VE 8.x with Commvault 11.36 for now.
