Hello All,

 

I have   configured the file system backup for a server and after starting its full backup getting the error “encountered failure in receiving data dThe SDT data transfer was terminated on a request from the Job Manager.]”

Hi @G@rim@ ,

 

Can you check the JobManager.log on the CommServe for this JobID? - This should give us an indicator of why it requested the termination of SDT.

It may also be worth checking CVD.log and cvfwd.log on this client machine at the time of the backup, for any errors or messages that could be related.

A common reason for this is that the CommServe has not received communication from the client even though data transfer could be occurring between the MA and client.

 

Best to double check the network config and try a 1-way network topology to see if it helps, or you could increase the liveliness check timeout to see if that helps temporarily (an option in control panel / job manager I believe)
