Hi All.

I just checked the traffic to and from our CommServe in our firewall.

I do see thousands of denies every hour from the CommServe to IP’s belonging to amazon (3.174.18.10, 3.174.18.80, 3.174.18.70…..)

We do not use any Amazon services in anyway, so any one have an idea why the CommServe tries to connect to Amazon and how to disable what its doing?

Thanks

-Anders

Have you used something like Netstat or Resource Monitor to determine which process is attempting the connection? If it is a Commvault process, you can generally view the associated log file to determine what it is trying to do.

If Windows CS, use “netstat -abno" to check what Process is trying to connect to those destination IP’s.
If Linux, Something like “netstat -nputw” may show the same.

If it’s a CVLT process, you can check the corresponding logfile to the process name to determine the connection.
