I have version 11.34.41 of commserve. Can I update Python to the latest version that is on the download page? It is version 3.13.1. The question is: Is this version compatible with my installed commserve? I need to update Python on the recommendation of my IT security colleague.

SP34 comes with Python 3.11.2, and as stated in the Third Party Applications Installed by the Commvault Installer major versions cannot be updated between Commvault Feature Releases.
For supported Python versions in a Commvault feature release, you may upgrade to any minor version of the latest patch update (e.g., if the current version is Python 3.11.2, you can upgrade to any Python 3.11.* version). However, you should avoid upgrading to a major Python version other than the supported one. For more information, refer to the Note section of the Python Manual Upgrade on Windows Server
From the Python Releases page Download Python | Python.org, the latest supported patch update is Python 3.11.11. Additionally, SP34 reached its End of Life (EOL) on December 15, 2024, so it is recommended to upgrade your infrastructure to SP36.

As of now SP34 version supports python version Python 3.11.2 hence 3.13.1 is not compatible. However you may refer below KB article to upgrade python security patches manually on top of 3.13.
