I am utilizing a VM Sockets license, and I have been told I can no longer (buy) anymore sockets to add onto my license any longer. Is this accurate?

As far as i am aware this information is accurate. We were also licensed by VM sockets but had to move over to VM Licensing model when we purchased an additional host due to the socket licensing no longer being available.
You should be able to work with your Commvault partner/supplier on options to migrate your socket licensing to VM licensing.

Yes, that licensing form has been deprecated and you should negotiate to an accepted solution with your sales rep.
