What is the difference between software WORM and hardware WORM

We are unable to see the option for WORM on CommCell console in Commvault 11.30. According to new releases what exactly is the difference.

In order to enable WORM Storage Lock in a Azure Blob Storage, must be also enable immutability from Azure side?

Also, Commvaul’t WORM Storage Lock, can prevent Azure Storage account from deletion? (also from Azure side)
