I have a pretty straightforward question: does CV support the Windows 10 long path feature regarding FS/VSA backups and restores?

MS Reference:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/maximum-file-path-limitation?tabs=cmd

thanks!

Just curious if you have tested this in a test environment or ran into an issue?

Windows 10 1607 was released in 2016:

https://docs.microsoft.com/de-de/windows/release-health/release-information

There doesnt seem to be any mention in BOL: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.25/expert/18708_troubleshooting.html

From the article you mention:

It can be opted in to not have the limit of MAX_PATH  by: making the registry change AND in the manifest for Commvault applications.

The latter needs to be done by Commvault. It should have been mentioned in Commvault documentation. Because they will have to let us know if they have updated their manifests for their applications.

Curious to see what Commvault folks say.
