Windows FW iData Agent cannot access files from the VSS snap.

Hi community!

I have faced the error like this recently:

Failed to recreate OFM snap; Continuing with live data only, error=0x80070306:{COpenFileManager::CheckAndRecreateShadow(118)/W32.774.(One or more errors occurred while processing the request.)-Maximum OFM snapshot retry count reached, RetryMax=3}

 

The job was configured to fail if the VSS fails. But the job finished successfully. Looks like smth. blocks access to the files included to the VSS snap. Did anyone see the error like this?

For those who is facing the same issue. Please take a look into windows system logs. There could be message like this: “The shadow copies of volume %VOLUME LETTER% were deleted because the shadow copy storage could not grow in time.  Consider reducing the IO load on the system or choose a shadow copy storage volume that is not being shadow copied."
