WORM - add and/or remove associatons is not possible

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hello,

Error: Failed to update storage policy copy. Cannot update copy with override retention when storage pool is using Storage WORM lock property set.

It is only possible to add/remove associations when we remove the option of WORM storage lock?
I know the procedure.

@Commvault feedback: It is maybe better to make possible that we can add. (not remove).

Hello @NK_VLK

Once WORM has been set it is not possible to modify the copy. Doing so would negate the purpose of WORM which is to make the copy and the data immutable (for the configured period of time).

Thank you,

Collin

If we select the folder on top level, then the new clients in subfolders will automatically added to WORM?

Hello @NK_VLK

I am not sure what you mean. WORM is applied to a copy and the storage so it will cover everything associated.

Thank you,
Collin

yes if you have added (correct) associations. But if you want to add another associations, then is not possible without to disable the WORM lock.

This is quite inconvenient. In real life clients are decomissioned or added to the console. It should be allowed to be mapped or unmapped to the right plan/storage policy.
