Hi everyone,

i am testing the 1touch feature on a physical Linux server, SLES 15 SP4. I deleted the /root and i am trying to recover on the same host. I reached the step of postinstall actions, then recreating initrd, then it says i will see a reboot. The problem is that the reboot gives me a black screen and i cannot go further, F2 is not working so i could go to the bash interface. I have commvault vrs 11.32 on the commserve and the client, and i used ISO from 11.32, 11.34 and i have the same result.

Any idea what might be wrong here?

hello @Nishika

 I hope you’re doing well.

I wanted to clarify the situation regarding the bare metal restore.
After the restore is completed, it prompts for a reboot. If it gets stuck at that point, please try a physical restart of the server.

If, after the reboot, you encounter a black screen, several factors could be causing this issue. I’d recommend take a look at the CLbackup.log (even though it's marked as completed in the Commcell console, jsut to verify) and the CLRestore.log to review the recovery process.

hi Mohamed,

thank you for your reply, hope you are well too.

after restoring the system state, is creating me the client_recovery in the commcell but is greyed out, is has no FS on it. So i know that during the 1 touch, after the step of this 1st reboot, it was supposed to take me to the step in screenshot attached, in order to restore the filesystem. And i do not reach this because of the black screen. My question would be for everyone in this community, did anyone ever used this as a singel method of DR and is working properly? Because we are testing for a long time and having trouble making it work.

Thank you!
