Access node requirements for local Object Storage with Amazon S3

i am working on a new workload configuration for Scality object storage running with Amazon S3 and in the below link i was not able to find the access node requirements

also the note: under the access node, not fully clear 

  • The access nodes must be of similar operating system type

    i have a follow up question:

    based on my understanding, S3 compatible backup need access node. If any media agent having the Core, FS and Cloud App package then it will act as access node, so why the existing Media Agent is not showing under the access node selection for the S3 object storage configuration wizard?
