All SPs should use one media

Hello Team,

 

I got 12 SPs for VSA backups wherein all the secondary copies use different media to write, impacting our media usage.

Do we have setting wherein we can push all the SPs using same media until it is full?

*I know I can club all the SPs to one storage policy for VSA backups that should use one media but trying to understand if we have any setting which can be used here.

  1. Please create a Tape storage pool from Command center, it's a Global policy.  
    1. How to create Tape Storage: Configuring a Tape Storage (commvault.com)
  2. Point all your secondary copies to that Tape Storage.

 

After this configuration, the media will be mapped with the tape storage, not with the secondary copies. So, secondary copies pointing to this Tape Storage will use the same media.
