CIFS/NFS share backup configure via array management or via client computer ?

Hello,

There are two options to configure the CIFS Backup. What is the better option to use ?

Via array management or via Client Computer ?

Which agent are you looking at using?  Windows FS, Unix FS?

Hi @Mike Struening,

Finally I have configured the Netapp on the array management. Then a client with the name of the netapp was automatically added as a new client.

on the pseudo client there are 3 agents 1 for linux, 1 for Windows and 1 NDMP.

I asked the storage guy to configure NDMP on Netapp and give me credentials. I created a new subclient and now I can browse the list of SVMs I want to backup. 

Backup and restore SVMs that present CIFS/NFS is ok now with intellisnap feature.

I don’t know if it is the better way but it works :)
