Commvault Cost Assessment helps you to visualize the savings and is used for information purposes only:

The information and estimates generated by this tool are based on a variety of assumptions and may not reflect your specific situation. These assumptions may include average hardware and software costs, typical backup and recovery costs and typical maintenance and support costs etc.

The actual TCO of your situation will vary depending on a number of factors, including, the specific hardware and software you choose, your deployment environment, your customized backup and recovery requirements etc.

We recommend that you consult with a Commvault representative to validate your exact situation and get a customized quote. We do not imply any warranties by the use of this tool.

Hi @Sri Raghavan. It is a bit vague to me what to expect. Is it something embedded in Command Center that customers can use to track their TCO cost real-time? Or is it a local tool/spreadsheet that allows customers to make near accurate TCO cost calculations?

I would love to see Commvault advising customers who leverage public cloud resources in the instances types, disk types (monitor IO latency on MA disks) and monitor/alert real-time if the user could make adjustment to be more cost efficient. Also think about intelligence around scheduling of jobs and spreading the start time of jobs dynamically across specified windows to avoid high load peaks.
