Hi team,

Can I back up an OPENVMS v7.3-2 (AlphaServer ES47) system with CommVault? or is there a backup strategy?

is it not supported? on the dopcumentation https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/expert/openvms_file_system_agent_system_requirements.html mention only HP OpenVMS 8.3, and 8.4.

regards,

OpenVMS v7.3-2 isn’t officially supported—our current agents support 8.3 and 8.4 on Integrity/Itanium platforms. Since 7.3-2 and AlphaServer aren’t covered, you can try workarounds like mounting the volumes to a supported Windows/Linux proxy for file-level backups, or using scripted OpenVMS backups and archiving the output via Commvault.
