Job results directory changes on its own

Hello,

one of our clients changes its job results directory by its own in a timespan of 2-3 weeks. We changed it manually to a different path but it always gets back to the software installation path. 

The client is a windows cluster client, not sure if this has something to do with it. I am also not sure if the new path is a UNC path because I dont have access to the client.

Which cluster is this?

  • The job results directory must reside on a shared cluster drive so it can failover to the other node when needed.
  • Also, for cluster file servers, the shared cluster drive must be associated with the Client Access Name.
  • For SQL clusters, the job results directory should be on a drive that is a disk resource in the Cluster Role Group that contains the SQL data being protected.

  1. Check where the job results directory is configured

    • Make sure it is not pointing to a local software installation path on one node.
    • For a cluster client, it should point to a shared cluster disk.
    • If this is a SQL cluster, verify the GxClusPlugin service is running in the correct Cluster Role Group.
