Question to „Index Server - Active and Inactive Clients association” Report

The name and description suggest that the output will display all index servers and their associated clients.

My tests have shown that index servers are visible to Solr clients, but not to "regular" clients (v1 or v2).

I expected to see all active "non-Solr index servers" listed under "Active Standalone Clients"

This group always shows up as empty for me.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @Joerg ,

Good day!

The  report Index Server - Active and Inactive Clients association is meant for solar clients not regular clients

Index Server - Active and Inactive Clients association

If you need active inactive state for regular clients use below report

https://cloud.commvault.com/commandcenter/#/softwareStore/11353

Hello Sureshkumar S,

Thanks for reply.

Let me recap this from the view of a customer.

There is a report called “Index Server - Active and Inactive Clients association”

The title seems unfortunately chosen to me because it can only be applied to Solr clients.

from the description field:

This report will list out all the active and inactive clients that are associated to a index server

The description does not suggest in any way that it is for 'solr only' clients.

I suggest adjusting the name and description of the report

Your suggestion: please use “ Index Version Status” instead was not helpful. To be fair I did not explain my expectation to the report.

I found my report well hidden in the CommCell Console and I do not understand why it is not visible in Command Center.

Way to the hideout. Storage resources, media agents, properties, catalog and there the last blue line on the button shows a web based index report.

Thanks again for your answer. It has brought a little clarity

Joerg
