Re-brand a HDPS Commserve

Hi, 

I’ve done a few transitions from a HDS branded Commserve (HDPS) to a default Commvault setup. That was usually done by installing a new Commserve with the Commvault downloaded installation package and then recover the CSDB. This also updated all paths to default. 

Does anyone know if there is a way to just re-brand to default Commvault settings in an easy way. Or is re-installing still the best way to do this?  I know that this will not reset paths but in this case it may be acceptable.

I’m not sure reinstalling will change the brand. The ‘minibrand’ is set inside the database from memory, so a DR restore will bring it back. I think you’d need a support case, or poke around the simMiniBrand table in a sandbox …..

(think CV default is 0 or 1)

Thanks Damian, It was many years ago I did this the last time, At that point we were using OEM branded installation packages and as I recall we just re-installed with a proper Commvault package. But thinks may have changed since then. 

I will recommend customer to open a support ticket to find the best way forward.
