Hello Team,

 

the TAR downloader is fine, but i need to use it using AWS Packer to create Golden image

is there a way to have a curl or call api directly to download full package using CLI avoid to install things and/or have a gui a download a package on linux ?

Good Day ​@JosserandM,

Commvault does not provide a direct REST API or simple curl endpoint for downloading full installation packages for Linux/Unix clients.

The supported method for obtaining installation media is via the Download Manager for Linux or Download Manager for Windows applications, which are interactive or can be run in silent mode from the CLI.

But, that should be an doable thing - you can reach the CSM/Account Manager to make an Enhancement request to see if we can bring this in the future.

Are you referring to a methodology that allows you to install the agent silently as part of the image creation process as described here: https://documentation.commvault.com/11.40/commcell-console/preinstall_commvault_as_software_image.html
