Pre-Upgrade Check Failed when upgrading from 11.36.98 to 11.40.63

have the following warning and all of these are coming from deconfigured clients and we cant delete since we still need data 

 

  1. The following pseudo clients and their corresponding physical clients do not have the same software version:
  2. The following MediaAgents do not support upgrade with the current operating system installed.
  3. The following clients have webserver or webclient installed and need to be upgraded immediately after CS upgrade
  4. The following clients have deprecated agents or instances that cannot be upgraded to the new software version.
  5. 11.24 has been deprecated in the current version. Please upgrade 11.24 clients to the latest version before retrying CommServe upgrade again.

the way we are decomissioning our clients are wrong.

uninstalling the software now from commcell

Hi ​@quartzblu ,

SP24 clients are expected to be incompatible with the latest version. We recommend opening a Support ticket so that we can review and, if necessary, remove any deconfigured or obsolete client agent metadata from the CommServe database.

Once the unwanted entries have been cleaned up, the pre-upgrade checks should be able to complete successfully.

thanks, this got resolved by doing force uninstall of software from commcell console for servers that are already decommisioned. upgrade to 11.40 successful now. thank you

  on the actual upgrade process, it will do pre-upgrade check phase before doing the actual upgrade
