+3We are exploring the option to upgrade our Commvault environment from 11.36 to v11.44
We are running a Windows Commservers and Windows Remote private metrics reporting servers and also Windows Media Agent.
Currently, majority if not 90% of our Backup configuration are setup in the CommCell console.
I understand there is a push to move to Command Center based approach
I would like to seek advice on the gotchas of moving to 11.44 version of Commvault given the setup that we have in place.
+2This is a long and complex discussion: we'd need a lot of additional information to give you sound advice.
I'd start by looking at the documentation on what's no longer supported in version 11.44 and seeing if any workloads are in your implementation. In my experience, you won't need to change much.
Secondly, I'd start planning to migrate workloads using Plan logic. This will serve as a springboard for implementing Commvault with a much more modern logic.
Gradually, you'll begin to become familiar with the Command Center, and you'll need the Commcell Console less and less.
