Im planning on upgrading our commvault environment from 11.32.x to the 11.40.x (LT support) in the very near future.
We currently are on a windows server 2019 Datacenter. Will commvault 11.40.x run on win server 2019?
We are also using Ms SQL server 2016 on our current 11.32.x. Does 11.40.x support this or does that need to be upgraded as well using the commvault 11.40.x installer. Please advise.

→ Commvault 11.40.x is fully supported on Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Datacenter. You can run all core components (CommServe, MediaAgent, clients, etc.) on Windows Server 2019.

System Requirements for Windows File Servers
CommServe Server: System Requirements (Windows)
→ Commvault 11.40.x does not support SQL Server 2016 for the CommServe database.
→ Supported SQL Versions for CommServe: Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Standard Edition is require for new installations and upgrades.
→ During the upgrade to 11.40.x, the installer will automatically upgrade your CommServe SQL instance to SQL Server 2022 Standard Edition if you are running SQL Server 2016 (Standard/Express).
→ If your CommServe is currently using SQL Server 2016, you must allow the Commvault 11.40.x installer to upgrade SQL to 2022 Standard Edition as part of the upgrade process.
