Hi,

I cannot expand the current disk library because the created disk is MBR and I have a limit of 2Tb, I was wondering if I can add a second disk library to the storage policy while keeping the first one?

Thks

Hi @DarioV,

You could add an additional Mount Path to the Existing “Disk Library” in Commvault. - This will give you the extra capacity that you need in the existing “Disk Library” here.

Steps for adding Mount Path can be found here: https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/expert/9360_adding_additional_mount_path.html

Best Regards,

Michael

Hi, @MichaelCapon is right.

I would add that you can add a new ‘mount path’ within your existing ‘disk library’, to a location where you do not have this MBR limit anymore.

When it is added, enable it (it should be, by default), and disable the ‘old’ mount path for writing.

This way, little by little, your old MBR device will not be used. And in the end (or after few manipulations), you would be able to remove it from the disk library.

Regards,

Laurent.
